Neckface was in Portland for an art show — a trade worked out over shop talk. He was Baker's art director at the time, and Sammy Baca was about to turn pro. Neckface's offer: if Creature's art director Lee designed a Sammy Baca board for Baker, he'd design one for Al Partanen at Creature.
Lee did it as a favor. Neckface held up his end: Free Pizza — a mutant pizza creature in his signature chaotic style, born from an inside joke Al and Chet had about trading skate gear for food at the Blind Onion, a local Portland pizza shop where some of the skate homies worked forever.
The final board in the run — 666 of 666, the last one made.
